私家偵探孟波（成龍）與死去搭檔的妹妹惠香（王祖賢）剛同報業大王今村商討完尋找其失蹤女兒清子（後藤久美子）下落的辦法，就見清子與若幹滑板少年在街道上左穿右插，一番窮追後，清子消失。惠香本想到孟波家後為孟波舉辦生日舞會，不想推門發現早已有七個美女正望穿秋水，一怒之下，惠香揚言會與表哥大腳板（單立文）在賭船“富貴號”上預支蜜月。
孟波趕到碼頭欲向惠香解釋，不想左找右找不見其蹤影，此時“富貴號”啟航在即，孟波混在魚貫湧至的遊客中上了船，清子以及裝扮成性感女郎的香港警察芽子（邱淑貞）也在這條船上。三個女人一台戲，何況又加一個好鬥、好色的孟波。
